With enough personality for 10 terriers, she is total girl - sugar and spice and everything nice! Calypso is the total package - a small and handy hunting size, well-built and muscular frame, a very flexible chest, low-maintenance coat, strong drive, and beautiful movement - all topped off with a bold and outgoing nature! She has never met a person that she didn't love, and especially adores kids! She is a regular in our dog daycare and makes sure she introduces herself to all the newcomers (human and canine!) the minute they walk through the door. She is a social butterfly - and very full of herself!!!! She is fearless with quarry, but not aggressive. She met a caged squirrel at 10 weeks old and worked it like nothing I've ever seen from such a young pup. She possessed the same drive against a few groundhogs she met at 8 months of age, and we simply cannot WAIT to get this little bitch more field experience! She will be a force to reckon with in the field (coming from 5 generations of Bronze Medallion terriers!) and has the perfect hunting style - investigate the quarry and then simply hold it at bay, barking her head off the entire time. Despite her incredible instinct, she is very quiet and laid-back at home - this one is a cuddler! We are very fortunate to have this amazing and well-rounded little bitch as our foundation female. |
| Calypso has a beautiful face with a bright and alert expression. She has the BEST coat - very dense and just lightly broken. She is very easy to groom and maintain. |
