"Simon" speaks for himself - an all-around terrier with multiple ribbons in conformation, suitability, racing, lure coursing, go-to-ground, super earth, trailing & locating, barn hunt, agility, rally-o, and obedience. Simon has excellent conformation and an easily-spannable, narrow, and extremely flexible chest. Don't let his height fool you - he can squeeze himself into incredibly small openings. We have been greatly blessed to own this incredible terrier - he is our first JRTCA Jack Russell, and he has taught us that a dog with correct bloodlines, conformation, drive, and temperament will happily excel in everything they do! Simon has an exceptional temperament. This dog is so incredibly easy to live with - he truly is a "push button" dog. When he is turned "on" to the field or performance events, he gives 100% and has the speed and stamina to work all day. When he is turned "off", he is a true snuggle bunny and content to lie around on the couch. To know him is to love him - he has a constant sweet demeanor and exceptionally polite behavior in every situation. Although Simon is now 2 years of age, and used for stud service, he still plays with other dogs (including other un-neutered males) daily at our dog daycare. He is a true gentleman. |
| Simon's first litter was whelped November 2009 and he passed on his lovely coat, exceptional movement, strong bone, gorgeous head, coloring, and outstanding temperament to his offspring. In his first litter of 3 pups, 1 was sold as a pet, and the other two are making a name for themselves in the show ring, including his son who was Yankee PUPPY CHAMPION!!!! Please contact us for more information about using this outstanding young terrier to further your breeding program. |
| We firmly believe that any JRT used for breeding purposes should have natural instinct and drive in the field. Simon has started field work and is all that we could hope for. He is tenacious and driven, has a wonderful nose, and is fearless against quarry - he has faced two groundhogs and a raccoon and did everything he should do! We look forward to future trips out with working judges in the future. |
