| Sophia's Day of Beauty! Hi! My name is Sophia and I am a very beautiful and sweet Cocker Spaniel! My day at Go Play! begins when Jen picks me up at my house in the morning. I am very excited to see her and to ride in the shuttle! Once I get to Go Play!, I am eager for my day of beauty to begin, as well! I come every week for a bath and some playtime with my friends! This is how I look before my bath and my haircut. Aren't I pretty? I certainly think that I am! Jen P. is my groomer - I love her very much. She has groomed me for a long time, and we have a really special bond. Before I met Jen P, I didn't like to be groomed, but now I look forward to it!! Jen P. puts me on the table and gives me a good brush out. Then she cleans my ears and trims my nails. Once I am all ready for my bath, I get to go into the tub! I have special shampoo formulated for my skin. Jen gives me two thorough baths and then puts leave- in conditioner on my coat. Once I am all squeaky clean, she turns on the dryer. The dryer is pretty loud, but Jen tells me that I'm just fine and gives me a big hug. That makes it much less scary!!! Once most of the water is out of my coat, Jen P. puts me back on her table. She puts a nice mat down so I don't slip or slide and towels me off with a clean towel. Jen also brushes me while I'm being dried. This makes my skin and coat very shiny and gets out any tangles. It doesn't take too long to dry me this way at all! If I was dried in a crate, it would take a long time, and I would get very hot and thirsty, not to mention - have a headache from the noise!!! After I'm nice and dry, I look all fluffy and cute! I feel very clean and Jen gives me another good brushing. Then she starts all of the trimming it takes to make me look like a Cocker Spaniel! The picture on the left is me after my bath and the one on the right is me after I'm done! So pretty! Jen always puts bows in my ears, and then I go outside for a potty break. Before I am shuttled home for the day, I go into the daycare area and play with all the daycare dogs! I really look forward to my grooming appointments here at Go Play! with Jen P! | Blackie's Day at the Spa Good day! My name is Blackie and I am a 10.5 year old Miniature Poodle - you would never know that I am an older gentleman, as I am very spry and active! I have been groomed by Jen P. for many years, and really look forward to my grooming appointments! I'm very lucky because my parents make appointments for me every 4-6 weeks, which is how often my breed needs to be groomed. This good care helps maintain my very curly coat. This is a photo of me when I arrive here at Go Play! Aren't I a cutie pie? The girls here all say how sweet and handsome I am! I am a ladies man, for sure! My parents don't like me to look like a regular poodle, which I'm grateful for! I'm not a fancy kind of guy, so Jen P. does what she calls a "modified puppy cut" on me. A puppy cut means that I'm left the same length all over. My parents like my legs to be a little more full, so Jen leaves them a bit longer. I guess that is the modified part! I get all brushed out and have my nails trimmed, my ears plucked (it doesn't hurt at all because Jen uses ear powder!), and my ears cleaned. If I have any tangles, Jen sprays a conditioner on me - it smells really good and helps her get all the little tangles out! I LOVE getting a bath! I get two shampoos and conditioner. I also love the dryers - I like to put my face up to it and let the air blow all around my head! I am a very silly boy. Jen "fluff dries" me. That means she keeps brushing me while I am being dried. This helps fluff up my poodle coat and leaves me feeling very clean and my skin feeling massaged. Below is me, all clean and dry. See how fluffy I look? Jen will call my parents to let them know that I am almost ready. This means that when I am finished, they will be here to pick me up. That way I don't have to be crated, and can go home right away! While my parents are on their way, Jen puts the finishing touches on my haircut. Look at how handsome I am! Now all I need is my bandanna, and I'm ready to go! If my parents aren't here to pick me up, Jen will let me say hello to all the daycare dogs and hang out there while I wait for my parents. I'm very lucky, because when my parents pick me up, my mom always gets me a toy or a treat from Go Play!'s store for being such a good boy! Then they will schedule another appointment for me in 4-6 weeks to keep me looking my best. I love coming to Go Play! and will be back soon! I hope you enjoyed reading about my day! What you will need to bring to your pet's appointment: 1. Please bring a copy of your dog's vaccination records. We require all dogs to be current on their Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies vaccinations. If we do not see proof or speak to your veterinarian to confirm that your dog is current, your dog will not be groomed. We accept titers in lieu of vaccinations. 2. Detailed instructions of desired trim for your dog. If you have someone else drop your pet off, please have them be able to explain how you would like your pet styled. 3. Please drop off your pet at our BACK ENTRANCE (located in the parking lot behind our building and easily accessed off of School St. or Menotomy Rd. There is ample free parking, feel free to park here.) 4. Please have your pet on-leash! We have a lot of traffic in the back parking lot and want your pet safe! 5. If you have not submitted our Service Agreement online, please allow a few minutes to do so when you arrive for your pet's appointment. No service will be performed without a completed Service Agreement. |
